Meet Our Counselors
  • Psalm 139:13-14

For you created my innermost being; knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

If you’ve ever asked yourself the question, “Why do I make the decisions I make, or why do I do the things I do,” then you are asking about your temperament.

Temperament therapy is based on helping you discover your in-born temperament and the needs associated with your temperament. This form of therapy assists in understanding how to live out of your God-given strengths and to overcome your weakness in healthy ways. You gain an understanding of who you are created to be and how you can improve your mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

  • This faith-based therapeutic method helps to identify root causes of problems in order to promote healing and develop wholeness. Here are a few benefits of Temperament Therapy:

    • To love and accept yourself more fully

    • To build greater intimacy with God

    • To use wisdom for making changes according to your temperament

    • To overcome challenges, solve problems, and reduce stress

    • To experience healing, joy, and victory

    • To understand how you interact with people best

    • To communicate more effectively

    • To appropriately deal with anger, fear, and negative thinking

    • To identify tendencies keeping you from your goals

Nebraska 117 provides faith based counseling services in person or via zoom.
